Mother Nature Claims Victory during Loose Rocker’s St. Patrick’s Classic

As we look back on the weekend that was the 11th Annual Hot Shot’s Secret St. Patrick’s Classic, brought to you by Loose Rocker Promotions, the only phrase that can be said would be – “Mother Nature won in dominating fashion.”

Despite the efforts of the team at Virginia Motorsports Park all week long, the rains from Thursday morning and nightly cold temperatures and high humidity percentages caused the split of the new Thursday shootouts after just one round due to a delayed start earlier in the day.

Flash forward through the rest of the weekend as Friday was damaged by an overnight storm and a most of the day struggle with recovering the racing surface to a safe manner, the decision was made to combine all purses into one race, set for Saturday with $20,000 to Win in both Super Pro and Footbrake, with a time trial for all on Friday evening.

As eliminations rolled forward on Saturday afternoon into the evening, small spurts of rain came into the Dinwiddie, Virginia area forcing numerous stops in the action to keep the racing surface dry but the punishing blow was delivered around 10:15pm as a steady shower rolled over VMP, ending the 11th Annual Hot Shot’s Secret St. Patrick’s Classic with no official winner as the purse was split with the remaining contestants in both categories.

Loose Rocker Promotions returns to Virginia Motorsports Park on July 30 – August 2 with the 7th Annual Flatout Gaskets Colonial Classic with the popular 5K-10K-5K format that over 500 entries turned out for this past weekend at the Hot Shot’s Secret St. Patrick’s Classic.
