Cancelled – Payso Productions March N/T Madness Due to COVID-19 Pandemic

Virginia Governor Ralph Northam announced today, March 23rd at 2:00pm eastern time, additional steps to help Virginians impacted by the COVID-19 virus and to stop the spread of the virus in the Commonwealth and protect public health. Governor Northam told Virginians to avoid non-essentials gatherings and increase social distancing, effective at midnight tomorrow, March 24th. “All recreation and entertainment services such as racetracks must close and gatherings of more than 10 are banned. These measures will be in effect statewide for at least 30 days. We do not make these decisions lightly,” said Governor Northam.

To comply with these restrictions, this weekend’s March N/T Madness event, presented by: Payso Productions has been cancelled, including the Day Test & Tune that was scheduled for Friday, March 27. We are forced to abide by the Governor’s announcement and cannot complete this event as we all hoped that we could. In talks with Jay Payso about the future of the event, both parties seem very hopeful and we both are looking forward to a strong year of togetherness once this pandemic lifts and we can begin our 2020 season. Both Virginia Motorsports Park and Payso Productions are committed to a 2021 event and we will have information on that in the coming months as we learn more about how this pandemic affects us all when we begin to return to ‘normal life.’

As of now, there is not a reschedule date for this event on the 2020 schedule as we move forward. The next “no time” event on schedule will be the Bert Jackson Memorial Weekend Extravaganza, presented by: Brown Racing on Saturday, May 23 with what will now be the season-opening Ladies Night event for the year on Friday, May 22.

Stay tuned to RaceVMP.com for a “State of the Union” address coming from Vice President, Tyler Crossnoe, in the coming days regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and how it effects the facility, events, racers and fans. In the mean time, stay safe, sanitize and continue trying to do the best you can to stay healthy and educate others to do the same so this pandemic is calmed and we can all return to normal business and life.
