MAC Team Finals Cancelled Until 2021

In a continued climate of uncertainty and following a very abbreviated season for racing, the track operators of the Mid Atlantic Challenge (MAC) Team Finals have decided to cancel the upcoming event for 2020 and focus their collective attention and efforts towards reinvigorating the program for the future.

All of the tracks have been severely impacted by the effects of a shortened season, decreased programming and other factors. Knowing that the MAC is designed as a season ending celebration means some hard decisions were necessary surrounding the event. Collectively, the tracks determined that it is in the best interest of the MAC Team Finals long term to put it on hold for 2020 and begin working on the format, necessary changes and programs for 2021.

The Virginia Motorsports Park drag racing schedule will be adjusted to reflect this cancellation and plans are currently in place to add the final two VP Racing Fuels ET Bracket Series events for 2020 on Saturday and Sunday, October 10-11. On Saturday, October 10th, the special NHRA.TV Challenge will be on schedule where all four classes will be racing for a prestigious Wally by parking their hot rods in the winner’s circle.

All of the participating tracks appreciate your support of our programs and we look forward to bringing the 2021 Mid Atlantic Challenge Team Finals to you.
