Opening Weekend Postponed due to Cold Temperatures

Mother Nature is hanging around the Virginia Motorsports Park area a little longer than we all had hoped early in 2021. Cold temperatures and windy conditions win the opening weekend of the season as officials made the decision to cancel both Saturday & Sunday’s test and tune days due to conditions unfavorable for racing.

Our goals at Virginia Motorsports Park are to give you all the best experience possible all while keeping you all as safe as possible. The last thing we want to do is compromise safety, especially on opening weekend after the long offseason and all of the hard work you’ve put into your vehicles for the 2021 season.

Weather conditions look to be improving for the upcoming week and our opening day will now be Saturday, March 13th with Test & Tune followed by another day of Test & Tune on Sunday, March 14th. Stay tuned to our social media channels as well as RaceVMP.com for all of the most up to date information regarding Virginia Motorsports Park, our track partners, events and more!
