Rains Force Cancellation of VP Racing Fuels ET Bracket Series

Sunday’s edition of the VP Racing Fuels ET Bracket Series has been cancelled due to inclement weather and continued rains throughout the area on Sunday morning, with more forecasted to be coming late this afternoon. We are saddened to make this decision as we want to race just as much as you do! Racers that purchased a weekend entry for both Saturday and Sunday’s event will receive a rain check, good for any VP Fuels ET Bracket Series event in the coming weeks and months, including the event next Saturday, April 3.

Saturday’s event, which was shortened by rain after round one of eliminations, was completed with a purse split among all first round winners. If you did not pick up your split check last evening, these will be mailed out in the coming days. A huge thank you goes out to all who came out to support Virginia Motorsports Park with an astonishing car count for the opening points race of the year with over 150 in Super Pro, nearly 100 in Pro, 13 in Pro Bike and nearly 50 Jr. Dragsters. Seeing a crowd like that on the opening race of the season was incredible and we want to thank each and every one of you who came out to race with us, we hope to continue to see excellent crowds and tough competition through the entire series.

Next up on schedule at Virginia Motorsports Park is Take It Off The Streets street night on Friday, April 2nd with the L&W Racing Transmissions Street ET category. Saturday, April 3rd will feature two events at the Park – the VP Racing Fuels ET Bracket Series on the dragstrip while the Dirtplex hosts the Inaugural Easter Bash Mud Bog and on Easter Sunday, the Virginia Motor Sport Club takes to the parking lot for an exciting day of autocross.
