Virginia Motorsports Park officials are saddened to announce that due to the inclement weather forecast for this weekend, October 7-10, we are cancelling the final installment of the Triple Threat Bracket Series. While Thursday and Friday offer windows to complete the scheduled events, Saturday is showing a 99% chance of rain all day long, followed by an 89% chance all day Sunday until noon. With that much rainfall, we will not have enough time to complete two events as we did during the June event with Twin 20s.
We are deeply saddened as we wanted to crown champions and hand out big checks all weekend long to the area’s best sportsman racers. We will be issuing refunds on the Footbrake entries along with anything else purchased online to this point. Our next big money bracket race on schedule is the FuelTech Fall ET Challenge on November 13-14 with $5,000 to Win in Super Pro and $1,500 to Win in Footbrake 48-Car Shootout on each day.
