K95 is how Richmond spells country, the most popular country station in the region, will take this event to a new level with the new partnership. “We are excited to build this partnership with Night of Fire at Virginia Motorsports Park on July 30th. K95 listeners love the jet cars, Pro Mods and Nostalgia Funny Cars. We can’t wait for the heart racing action,” Garret Doll, program director. Pairing an upbeat country concert with one of the best nights of racing on the calendar is a monumental task but will be one of the first of its kind, especially in Virginia Motorsports Park history. “Drag racing and music has always had a place together, in my mind, but we’ve never paired the two together, until now. The new partnership with K95 and their team will bring a completely new element to this event, along with the live music of country music stars Jon Langston, Adam Doleac and up-and-coming name PJ North,” said Virginia Motorsports Park vice president Tyler Crossnoe. Crossnoe, also PDRA Series Director, spoke on the racing side of the event as well. “The PDRA ProStars event brings the quickest and fastest Pro Mods on the planet to the Night of Fire along with the Larsen Motorsports jet dragsters, nostalgia funny car match race, Sick Week shootout with Tom Bailey, local Super Pro stars with the Super64 Shootout and more.
