Sadly, the 2023 edition of the Turkey Trot Twin 10s is canceled due to weather. We had a lot of rain at the facility over the last 24 hours and combining that with a forecast that barely sees 50 degrees for the high on two of the three days this weekend, we do not feel that we have enough of a window to complete the event in a safe and competitive manner. We hate to end the season on a cancellation but we wanted to make the decision today so everyone can spend time with their families tomorrow for Thanksgiving.
I want to close the book on the 2023 racing season by saying thank you to each and every person who came out and supported one event or as many events as possible this season. The team at Virginia Motorsports Park is proud to be able to perform our events for as many people as possible throughout the calendar year and we do our best to do so at the highest level of professionalism and care available. I want to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving and hope that you all can spend your day with your family and remembering the true meaning of the holiday. Thank you all again for a great 2023 season and we look forward to seeing a number of you this off-season for the winter series events.
