Virginia Motorsports Park officials are saddened to announce the cancellation of the 22nd running of the FuelTech Shakedown Nationals, originally scheduled for September 12-14, 2024.
In an effort to think outside the box and try a new format to drag racing racers and fans, the response from racers and teams was less than ideal and leaves us with this tough decision to make with less than a 15% commitment rate out of the 48-car invite field. With the headlining class showing minimal interest, officials have made the choice to cancel the 2024 edition of the Shakedown Nationals.
If you have pre-purchased a RV camping spot, you will be refunded of your payment. You will each be contacted personally by an official in the coming days.
