Virginia Motorsports Park and the NHRA Junior Drag Racing League are working together to get you all to the Eastern Conference Finals at Bristol Dragway in Bristol, TN on July 12-18 and the NHRA Division 1 Jr. Dragster Championships on August 6-9 at Numidia Dragway in Numidia, PA.
Being that COVID-19 has put a halt on all of our VP Racing Fuels ET Bracket Series events for 2020 until now, we will use last year’s final points for the roster order to be the most fair when teams of 10 are formed off of the sign-up form below. Each team earns points towards the team championship for a track Wally and individual Wallys for the participants. There is no limit for the number of racers that we can take to the NHRA Eastern Conference Finals. To be eligible to be on Virginia Motorsports Park’s team roster, the racer MUST have raced two events from July 21, 2019 to July 12, 2020 – if found in violation, the team will lose any points earned.
If you want to attend the NHRA Eastern Conference Finals at Bristol Dragway but do not qualify to be on Virginia Motorsports Park’s team, then you can race individually. You only need to have a current NHRA license. Racers will need their VMP team number to register so the roster must be submitted before the racer registers – racer registration opens soon and can be found by clicking HERE along with event information, schedules, etc.
If you are wanting to attend the NHRA Division 1 Jr. Dragster Championships in Numidia, the roster is due the week following Bristol. You will need to call the Virginia Motorsports Park office to sign-up for D1 at 804-862-3174. We can only have one team with ten entrants on it and our Race of Champions entrant is Anthony Suppers, the 2019 series champion. The ten racers on the “VMP team” will be decided on by the 2019 points series final standings. Anyone not going to Bristol but is attending D1 needs to order their shirts when signing up, there will not be a second order for t-shirts. Virginia Motorsports Park will pay for the team of 10 to attend while any additional racer who wants to attend will pay their own way. We have to send in a roster and payment before the event so anyone outside of the top ten will have to pay before attending NHRA Division 1 Jr. Dragster Championships.
As for team shirts, Virginia Motorsports Park will pay for one shirt per racer, all additional shirts will need to be paid for by the racers families upon receiving them. We hope to have a great crowd of Jr. Dragsters representing VMP at both the Eastern Conference Finals and the NHRA Division 1 Jr. Championships!
