The FuelTech Shakedown Nationals XXI returns to Virginia Motorsports Park for yet another season with a new date of May 11-13 to bring the event a new spring flare along with the return of a number of quarter-mile classes mixing in with our popular eighth-mile classes as well.

This season, we bring an exhibition style quarter-mile Pro Modified Money Shot program to send some of the world’s quickest and fastest doorslammers all the way out the back door. We welcome the Precision Turbo Xtreme Front Wheel Drive (XFWD) category to the event for the first time in a number of years to welcome an import class back to Shakedown, thanks to 3:16 Speed and JBR Engines, we’ll be paying $10,000 to Win! We also welcome 4.60 Bike and Top Dragster, two new classes for the Shakedown event, 4.60 paying $4,000 to Win and Top Dragster paying $3,500 to Win.

Pro Street and Super Street come out of the PDRA series to chase their largest event purses of the season at the Shakedown for more exciting heads-up racing while MPC Real Street opens their season with us. 5.49 Index, 5.90 Index, Super Pro and Battery Barn Jr. Dragsters bring in a host of sportsman racing to fill out the weekend with competitive and challenging formats of sportsman drag racing.
