Jonathan Martin Doubles Up During Chesterfield Auto East Coast Chevy Show

The 2021 edition of the Chesterfield Auto Parts East Coast Chevy Show is in the books with all of the races run to completion in a timely manner each day through some hot and humid conditions over Father’s Day weekend. From great action on track to beautiful cars in the car show and hard-to-find parts in the swap meet, it was a full weekend on and off the racing surface.

Jonathan Martin took the Super Pro and Pro categories by storm on Sunday afternoon with his square body Chevrolet S10 pick-up truck. Martin, a known footbraker, entered into both categories and was found in the late rounds of both. Martin pulled up alongside another S10 runner in an all truck final in Super Pro, Jonathan Edwards. In one of the best races of the day, Martin was .012 on the tree, while Edwards followed closely with a .015. Martin goes dead on with a 2 for a .014 package while Edwards went dead on with a 4 for a .019 package, totaling up a .005 margin of victory for Jonathan Martin in Super Pro. David Clark was the lone semi-finalist while Tim Williams and Eddie Roller bowed out in the quarter-finals. For round-by-round results of Sunday’s Super Pro event, CLICK HERE.

Martin kept the hot streak rolling in Pro, running Josh Bess in his Chevrolet powered Ford Mustang in the final round.
