After losing Saturday due to extensive rains into the late afternoon, the decision has been made to reschedule both events scheduled for this weekend, August 7-8, until October 2-3 so that our points competitors can fight it out on track for the season championships and not have the season decided by weather conditions.
As we reviewed a number of forecasts, we are going to retain 100% humidity throughout the night and until 9-10am in the morning, along with battling dense fog in the morning hours because of the high humidity levels and the dew point and temperature being nearly the same until noon. Being faced with these conditions does not give us a lot of confidence that we can complete the Sunday edition of the VP Racing Fuels ET Bracket Series, the season finale, without fighting weather through the day along with asking you all as racers to come in and play the waiting game for when work can effectively begin and you can get on track.
Instead, we will reschedule both events that were originally scheduled for this weekend to October 2-3 and give our racers a chance to settle the score on the racing surface to see who is crowned champions on the 2021 season schedule. The NHRA.TV Challenge Wally race will also move to Saturday, October 2 where all four classes in contention will be running for an NHRA Wally trophy as well.
We apologize for the inconvenience and the reschedule but we look forward to finishing the VP Racing Fuels ET Bracket Series on track on October 2-3.
