WE’RE BACK – Virginia Motorsports Park Granted Permission to Begin Private Testing on Friday, May 15!

Two simple words can say so much – we’re back! Due to some tireless conversations with Dinwiddie County officials along with the state of Virginia, we have been granted access to begin private testing as early as Friday, May 15th. A huge thank you goes out to Dinwiddie County administration and all of their hard work to get their local businesses back up and running for all. Details and rules/regulations are explained below!

LIMITED quantities available, each spot is $250 plus the online ticketing fees through KIS Ticketing. We are required to do online registration to minimize the amount of “touching” through the registration process at the door. You will check in at the ticket booth, you and your limited number of crew members will enter into the facility all at the same time – the gate will close behind you. Early/late entry crew members will NOT be allowed. Enter with the vehicle you are working on.

Pit area will need to be socially distanced. When you pull into the facility, a trash can will mark an available spot. Do not move these barrels around to park closer to a friend or teammate. Park at the barrels, use them during your time here and this will accomplish social distancing guidelines with the parking lot. There will be a lot of attention on us and we do have to provide photographs of how things were laid out. Please go to the staging lanes with your car and leave the starting line once your car runs, pick up your vehicle on top end and return to trailer. No joyriding, no congregations of people outside of your team.

Upon entering the staging lanes, every other lane will be chained up in the rear of the lanes. Your designations will be as follows: .500 Regular Tree, Left Lane, #1. .500 Regular Tree, Right Lane, #3. .400 Pro Tree, Left Lane, #5. .400 Pro Tree, Right Lane, #7. If you request no time, PLEASE have this indicated on your driver side window with the letters, “NT.” If this is not done, we will not know to turn the scoreboards off. Do not stage your vehicle until you see the dashes across the scoreboards if you are requesting NO TIME. If you stage it, you accept it. We will do our best to accommodate but that function is there for a reason in the timing system – driver has the last check before turning on the stage bulb.

Friday, May 15th will be SLICK TIRES ONLY, gates will open at 1pm and we will start on track at 3pm and run until a hard close on track at 10pm. Prep will be based around slick tires and slick tires ONLY and quarter-mile runs will be available. This will be SINGLE runs ONLY, no pairs at ANY TIME, but both lanes will be prepped all day for access. Time slips will be accessed in the containment pin beside the racetrack on the outside of the left lane, one person at a time and will be sanitized throughout the day.

Saturday, May 16th will have TWO sessions – the first session is SLICK TIRES ONLY, gates will open at 8am and we will start on track at 10am and run until 4pm. Prep will be based around slick tires and quarter-mile runs will be available. At 4pm, we will close the racing surface and Session #1 will be complete and everyone who did not purchase a Saturday night entry, will be asked to pack up as quickly as possible and exit the facility in a safe and timely manner. As trailers leave, we will let in trucks/trailers for Session #2. The second session will be SLICK TIRE & RADIAL TIRE PREP, one lane tailored to each design of tire, quarter-mile runs will be available in both lanes. Track will open at 6pm for Session #2 and run until a hard close on track at 11pm. Both sessions will be SINGLE runs ONLY, no pairs at ANY TIME, but both lanes will be prepped all day for access. Time slips will be accessed in the containment pin beside the racetrack on the outside of the left lane, one person at a time and will be sanitized throughout the day.

Concession stand will be closed so keep that in mind when planning your day. Restroom facilities will be available and be cleaned throughout the day and will have hand sanitizing stations placed around the facility. VP Racing Fuels fuel sales will be available, as well. Any Virginia Motorsports Park official will be able to assist in your possible needs of racing fuel during your time here.

These rules are EXTREMELY STRICT and will be enforced strongly. If any rules need to be changed/added, we will address this again publicly. If you are caught not abiding by the rules, we will ask you to leave the facility with NO refund. Click on the banners below to purchase your test session of choice! Limited quantities are available – these spots will go fast, nearly as fast as your hot rod will go when it hits the track FINALLY after nearly two months of downtime!
