Virginia Motorsports Park – May 27 Update, Schedule for May 30-June 7

We wanted to come out today and debut a few plans for Virginia Motorsports Park over the next few weeks but with all the changes with the state of Virginia, that is just not possible. As of today, Wednesday, May 27th, here is our two week schedule from now until June 7th when we will then provide another schedule update.

For the weekend of May 29-31, Virginia Motorsports Park will be closed on the drag strip as we have the parking lot rented for autocross rentals in the parking lot.

As we look towards the week of June 1-7, Virginia Motorsports Park will host a Professional Test Session on June 3-5, one lane prepped for slick tires and one lane prepped for radial tires. As all of our other test sessions since the reopening due to COVID, spots are limited on all three days. It will be $250 per car, per day. You must sign-up with Virginia Motorsports Park vice president, Tyler Crossnoe, via e-mail or text message, tcrossnoe@racevmp.com or 731-345-9058. Please do not call that number as a list of names has to be had to create a list.

We are hoping to know more about what can be accomplished on Saturday, June 6th as we go further into Phase 1 with the state of Virginia. We will update regarding June 6th as soon as possible. US Drift will be on the grounds yet again on Sunday, June 7th.

As far as the original schedule from earlier this season, the VP Racing Fuels ET Bracket Series featuring the Warriors Outlaw Drag Racing Series has been cancelled for Saturday, June 6th along with the VP Racing Fuels ET Bracket Series for Sunday, June 7th. The Inaugural Summer Slam mud bog originally scheduled for June 13th has been cancelled. Southern Mud Outlaws event originally scheduled for June 27th has been postponed. We will have information regarding Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings, Monster Truck Throwdown along with the Hollyrock Customs Summer Diesel Showdown II.

Our goal is to have a better plan for everyone across the board within the next few days for the entire month of June as we try to move closer to “normal” for everyone.
